In 2013, Betdaq was sold to Ladbrokes for 30m but in November 2024, the company was sold back to its original owner, Dermot Desmond, for an undisclosed sum.

Bookmaker was recently acquired by UK sports betting company Ladbrokes, with Bookmaker's CEO Dean Shannon remaining at the helm.
